SKEEHAN studio specialises in commercial furniture, lighting and product design. Directed by Industrial designer Tom Skeehan, the studio takes a material driven approach resulting in an informed design process that considers the long term lived experience of the product and its environment.
We were tasked with showcasing the full collection of Skeehan’s works and celebrating the natural beauty and craftsmanship of the products. Concept and material would need to work hand-in-hand to present the work in a way that highlights the value and craft of the work. A minimalist at heart, Skeehan’s body of work includes nothing without thoughtful purpose and precise detail.
With photography forming the lead for the visual strategy. The simplified colour palette and visual cues allow the imagery do the talking. The critical thinking applied to his concept development was an important area for us to highlight, and is well portrayed through the use of design sketches, behind the scenes images, product photography, and video. We were able to capture all brand values of the company within a responsive website, which we designed and built to match the quality of the furniture.
